What is a purposeful young professional?

Here’s our current definition:

A purposeful young professional helps life thrive in their ongoing search for meaningful work. We’re old enough to be highly skilled, but young enough to be active learners. We’re well-connected and clear about our values. We care deeply for our world. We define our own purpose, but we’re strongly driven to have a positive social / environmental impact.

Here’s what we mean by these words:

Purposeful: Having a clear intent to create positive impacts.

Professional: Someone who is highly competent in their work, full of integrity, and keeps developing their capabilities.

Young Professional: People in the early part of their working life (mostly aged 20-35 years). If you’re older than this but young at heart, you’ll still very welcome to join the Intersect Network! You’re also welcome to join if you’re still studying/learning a new profession.

Work: Includes paid/unpaid work, because we can’t always get paid to do the work we love.

This description will change!

Intersect members can define what they mean by purposeful young professionals for themselves. You can check out the latest group definition on Intersect’s Wiki.
